Lead Game Designer
We’re looking for an exceptional designer and manager to lead our growing and highly talented design team on one of our key free-to-play mobile projects.
To manage your team to success you’ll need to champion design and be able to speak to the smallest details with authority and in depth where needed — but without losing sight of the big picture and overall goals for the studio.
You will need to be an extraordinary communicator, not “only” able to convincingly lead your team but someone who can also clearly and comprehensively update and collaborate with the other discipline leads and studio directors where necessary.
Your excellent judgement — borne from experience — will help to ensure that your team get the support and mentoring they need in order to excel in their own development, while delivering your project to the highest quality at all times.
Also, you’ll need to be a decent and pleasant human being — we like working with those and have a good track record of hiring them so far.
We are seeking an experienced game designer who can jump in and immediately get their hands dirty.
Ideally, you should have:
First and foremost, this role is for our free-to-play mobile title, so it’s vital that you have a clear understanding and experience of developing free-to-play games!
It’s also worth noting that our longer-term plans in the studio include premium, PC & console orientated projects — so any additional experience and passion towards these areas are highly welcome.
Fortitude is a new studio based in Guildford, UK, dedicated to building innovative and creative
games. Our team includes multi-BAFTA nominated talent and we have a close and highly-developed
working relationship with parent company Mediatonic and their extensive network and support.
We are looking for highly-motivated and talented individuals with the passion and skills to
deliver premium-quality games from day one, while growing as part of a small team working with
original properties and highly-acclaimed IPs to create a world-class games studio.
The Lead Designer role is a hugely significant hire that offers the opportunity to have an enormous impact on shaping our games. You’ll be working with, and helping to develop, our small but highly talented team of designers to meet the challenges — and experience the satisfaction — of releasing our first key titles in the studio.
We look forward to your application!
